Terms of Service
These Terms cover your use of VibeSwipe. By using VibeSwipe, you agree to them. VibeSwipe is run and hosted in the European Union and is meant for casual social chat, not dating. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
Eligibility (18+)
You have to be at least 18 to use VibeSwipe. By using it, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we find that someone is under 18, we remove them and ban them permanently.
What VibeSwipe is
VibeSwipe is a live video chat service with a chat-only mode for text, photos and optional voice messages. You pick which one you want before you start, and the two are kept apart. People in video mode only ever see other people in video mode, and the same is true for chat only.
Other people see you as a preview card. In Video mode that card uses a fresh camera photo you must take each time before you enter the deck; it lasts only for that Video session and is never reused in Chat only. In Chat only a picture is made from your profile instead, and a real photo is optional. Your latest optional Chat-only photo is saved locally in your browser so Chat Quick Start can reuse it, but it is never accepted as the required Video photo. You can remove it from profile setup or by clearing this site’s browser data. Pictures are not kept as profile or account data on our server, where they are treated as temporary preview images while you are connected.
Nothing opens until two people choose each other. Your microphone is never shared on preview cards. Full live audio and video start only after a mutual match, and only in video mode. In chat-only mode a match opens a private conversation for text, photos and optional recorded voice messages, not a live call.
Your conduct
The rules are the same in both modes. What you type counts exactly like what you show on camera.
You agree NOT to: show nudity, sexual or explicit content, or behave sexually on camera or in messages; harass, bully, threaten, defame or intimidate anyone; express hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or anything similar; record, screenshot or share someone else's video, audio or image without their permission; pretend to be someone else; share illegal content; spam or advertise; or do anything else that breaks the law.
Safety and moderation
You can block preview cards before you match. During a matched chat you can report or block the other person. When someone reports you, one image of you plus a short piece of the recent messages may be saved with the report, so our moderators can review it. In video mode the image is a still frame from your video. In chat-only mode it is the picture on your card. The Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
We may remove content, and suspend or permanently ban people, at our discretion. Repeated reports about the same person can trigger an automatic temporary suspension. We may work with law enforcement where the law requires it.
Camera and microphone
Video mode needs access to your camera and microphone to work. You give that access through your browser, and you can take it back at any time in your browser or device settings.
Chat-only mode does not need a camera. If you want a real photo on your card you can take one, but you do not have to, and the camera closes again straight after. The microphone is requested only when you choose to record a voice message and closes after you send or cancel it.
No accounts; service provided “as is”
VibeSwipe does not need an account. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, with no warranties of any kind. We may change, pause or shut down any part of it at any time.
Friends and likes do not change that. Your friend code is a key your own browser generated, not an account: there is no password, no email and no recovery, and we cannot identify you from it or restore it for you. Your friend list is stored only in your browser. If you clear this site’s storage, or use a different browser or device, your code, your friends and the likes attached to that code are gone permanently.
Limitation of liability
You talk to strangers at your own risk. As far as the law allows, VibeSwipe and its operator are not responsible for how other users behave, or for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from your use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or end your access at any time, including if you break these Terms or the community rules.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply within the European Union. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts under applicable law. This does not affect any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these Terms. If you keep using VibeSwipe after a change, that means you accept the updated Terms.
